Paragus sp.  hoverfly.

rokkor 100mm f/3.5 macro, vivitar 2x macro teleconverter, yn-560 speedlight

I’ve been struggling with getting one of these for what’s seemed like forever.  But today was the day–hoverfly in flight!  I realize that it’s just a picture of a flying bug, but seriously, I feel like some sort of badass.  Strange, innit?

The variety at Baylands Park are much larger than the tiny ones in my back yard–easily two, maybe three times the size.  Much easier to find in the viewfinder 😛
